Vincenzo Bonaiuto was born on September, 11th, 1962. He is with the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” where he is Associate Professor of Circuit Theory. His main scientific interests are in the field of Hardware Design for Signal Processing and, in particular, of the design and implementation of electronic systems (acquisition systems, microcontroller systems, DSP, analogic/digital ASIC, FPGA, etc.). In particular, in the mainframe of the research activities of the Sport Engineering Laboratory (Scientific Manager), he is involved in the design of acquisition systems for the measure of biological and biomechanical parameters for the assessment of sport performance. Since 2009, he is involved in the project of the electronics of the Trigger and Data Acquisition System of the calorimeter for the NA62 experiment at CERN. He participated in several projects in the field of signal processing, neural and neuromorphic networks and automated measure systems. He is the author or coauthor of more than one hundred publications in international journals and contributions to conferences and has been a reviewer of numerous projects for the Ministry of Scientific Research (PRIN) as well as for international journals.
